Gosund Smart Plug Not Working after Power or Network Outage?

Gosund Smart Plug not stopped working after power outage or network outage? Here are proven methods to easily fix this problem.

Quick Answer

When your Gosund Smart Plug stops working after random power outage or network outage, first unplug it from the socket. Wait for 30 seconds before plugging it back in.

If this doesn’t work, power cycle your router as well. Also, ensure that the socket is OK.

If you have recently changed your Wi-Fi password, you will need to factory reset and re-configure your Gosund Smart Plug again.

If your smart plug is too far from your WiFi router, it will face connectivity issues due to poor signal strength.

The best way to fix this issue is by using WiFi extenders or by moving your router closer to the plug location.

1. Check the Socket

You need to make sure that the socket your smart plug is inserted too is receiving power. If the socket has a fuse, it is possible that it might have tripped.

The easy way to confirm this is by connecting your mobile charging to that socket and see if it is working. If it is OK, and you are still having issue, then try the second fix.

2. Confirm your WiFi Password

If your Wifi router is restarted after network outage, it is possible that its settings have restored to default.

To confirm if the WiFi password has changed, check if your phone is still connected to your home WiFi or not.

If it is also not connecting or even you are unable to see your WiFi name in network list, it means your router is restored to its factory settings.

In that case, you will have to reset your Gosund smart plug and re-configure it with the new WiFi details.

3. Reset Gosund Smart Plug

To reset Gosund Smart Plug in order to re-configure it, follow these steps:
